The APS Microinverter marks a breakthrough in solar technology, making your solar array more powerful, economical, dependable, intelligent and safe.
Conventional systems using one inverter at the end of a “string” of solar modules can only operate as efficiently as the least efficient module. Reduced solar output from a shadow or leaf on one module cuts output across all modules in the array.
Our microinverter individually maximizes power generation for each module in your array, boosting efficiency by up to 20 percent. The performance of each module can be individually monitored from your home computer, to ensure top power output always.
Our flagship APS product is the YC500A, a grid-tied microinverter with intelligent networking and monitoring systems. Highly dependable and cost effective, the YC500A handles up to 310W modules with negligible clipping, delivering 250W AC per module with dual MPPT. These units can be connected to the rack or directly to the module’s frame, depending on system design.
One YC500A Microinverter handles two PV modules – a big advantage! Half the inverters and half the installation means real cost savings for residential and commercial solar power systems.

Continuous AC Output
The YC500 is rated with a continuous 500W (250W per module). Peak power output up to 265W. Enphase will clip power above 250W .
Module Cells Capability
The YC500 can handle both 60 and 72 cells modules. Enphase can only handle 60 Cell Modules.
The YC500 has an integrated daisy chain AC cabling. Faster system install times with no additional trunk cable hard or soft costs. Enphase’s trunk cable is an additional ~$16 per drop plus labor and waste at the end of a reel.
Module Level Monitoring
APS’ module level monitoring is included with the ECU at no additional cost . Enphase charges $250.
APS Offers a 10 and 25 warranty to compete head to head with the different inverter options on the market, and will pay $150.00 per inverter (a maximum of $300.00 per installation, per incident) to cover the labor costs to remove the defective inverter and install a replacement inverter. Enphase does NOT cover labor costs to remove the defective inverter.

APS End Cap: The APS End Cap is a protective end cap attached on the unused connector of the last YC500A Microinverter. You will require one end cap per branch in your installation.
APS Communicator (ECU): The APS Communicator, our state-of-the-art Energy Communication Unit (ECU), is the information gateway for our microinverters
APS eSensor: The APS eSensor is a smart ammeter equipping with the high technical Micro Control Unit and high-precision electrical energy measurement chip as well as a piece of LCD screen in order to have an comprehensive monitoring on the electrical consumers.
